Right-handed pitcher Tyler Cyr‘s contract was chosen by the Dodgers, and right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Cyr, 30, played in 15 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 2-1 with a 4.86 ERA (9 ER/16.2 IP) and 24 strikeouts. The right-hander made 12 Major League appearances with Oakland and Philadelphia in the previous season, giving up four runs in 13.1 innings while striking out 16 batters. With Oakland, he had a 1-0 record, a 2.08 ERA (3 ER/13.1 IP), and 16 strikeouts. He had a cumulative record of 19-13 in eight minor league seasons, with a 3.08 ERA (102 earned runs over 298.1 innings) and 358 strikeouts in 233 games (three starts). He was initially selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft coming out of Embry-Riddle University.

After being called up last night, Jackson, 26, pitched 3.1 innings, giving up three runs on two hits while striking out three. Before being hit for three runs in the eighth inning, he pitched three flawless innings. He has made six appearances for Los Angeles this season and has pitched 14.1 innings, giving up 13 runs while striking out 13. He spent portions of three seasons with the Dodgers. In 14 career games, he is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA (18 ER/36.0 IP) and 32 strikeouts. In the 12th round of the 2017 draft, the Dodgers selected him out of the University of Utah.
