Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 3 minutes | Cool Time: 20 minutes | Total time: 28 minutes

Yield: 1 1/3 cups | Serving size: 1 tablespoon

Ingredients:

1 cup white sugar
1 cup water

Directions:

Add sugar and water into a small saucepan.
Stir and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat and simmer until the sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes.
Take the pan off the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes.
Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
