After missing 29 games due to tendinitis in his right forearm, Kelly, 35, is back. He pitched 1.2 innings over two rehab outings with Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, earning one victory. He has pitched for the Dodgers in four games this season, with seven strikeouts in 3.2 innings. He has played in 35 games for Chicago-AL and Los Angeles this season, going 2-5 with a combined 4.41 ERA (16 ER/32.2 IP) and 48 strikeouts. He spent portions of 12 seasons in the Major Leagues with St. Louis (2012–14), Boston (2014–18), Los Angeles (2019–21), Chicago–AL (202–23), and Los Angeles (2023). In 443 games (81 starts), he had a combined record of 53–37 with a 3.96 ERA (352 ER/800.1 IP) and 720 strikeouts. The St. Louis Cardinals initially selected him out of UC Riverside in the third round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft.

Hurt, 25, made his Major League debut last night, pitching 2.0 innings without allowing a run and capping his outing by striking out the side in the ninth inning. He spent the season splitting time between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City before signing with the Dodgers. In 25 games, he went a combined 4-4 with a 3.87 ERA (38 ER/88.1 IP) and 145 strikeouts.
On February 12, 2021, the Dodgers acquired the No. 12 prospect in the Dodgers organization according to MLB.com from the Marlins along with left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia in exchange for right-hander Dylan Floro.
He has a combined 11-13 record, 4.62 ERA, 290 strikeouts in 181 innings, all within three minor league seasons. The Marlins selected the Southern California native out of USC in the fifth round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft.
