Brown has experience working on projects for businesses all over the world and is knowledgeable about what makes a great wardrobe: confidence. She is there to remind her clients, who may easily become engrossed in the hues, materials, and textures: “It’s actually never about the clothes; it’s about how you feel in what you’re wearing,” Brown says. “When you feel confident, you accomplish more and you can truly achieve anything.”

Where Did Inspiration for “Dressing Up” Come From?

Taking inspiration from her own daughter, Brown wrote “Dressing Up,” with the intention of imparting that same confidence to younger readers. Brown used to dress her up and take her on expeditions around New York City when she was a baby. She would fall asleep during these daily excursions, as is customary for an infant’s sleep routine, and frequently wake up to find herself in an entirely different location.

Brown explains that the original idea for Dressing Up came to her when she thought of garments as the magical transportation that carried her throughout New York City.

Strong Childhood Memories

Many people have strong childhood memories of playing dress-up. Kids may transcend the boundaries of their imagination and see the plethora of opportunities that lie ahead of them in life by dressing like anyone they want to be and going anywhere they want to go thanks to the magic of fashion. Samantha Brown, a rookie author and celebrity stylist, wonderfully conveys this thrill in her new children’s book, “Dressing Up.”

“Dressing Up” is an adorable story to introduce children to the idea that playing with style is a fabulous adventure and a way to build strong self-esteem,” Stacy London, fashion icon and co-host of TLC’s What Not to Wear

Young readers can learn that everything is possible with “Dressing Up,” as they experience each outfit change and scene change. This book, which is filled with gorgeous images depicting the New York fashion scene, is reminiscent of fashion designer sketches and might pass for a lovely coffee table book. “Dressing Up” is ideal for both young dreamers and fashionistas, regardless of the age of the reader.
