S. Epatha Merkerson Honored at Step Up Awards

Step Up, a non-profit organization dedicated to mentorship, celebrated S. Epatha Merkerson of ‘Chicago Med’ by presenting her with the Inspiration Award during their annual event on Wednesday, November 13, at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago. The award was presented by her “Med” co-star Jessy Schram, in front of an enthusiastic audience that included fellow cast members Sarah Ramos and Lorena Diaz, making the evening truly memorable.

Through its mentorship programs, strong support, invaluable connections, and lively sense of community, Step Up enables girls to develop and pursue their own paths to success. Merkerson now joins an esteemed roster of previous winners that includes, among many others, well-known people like Anne Hathaway, Zoe Saldana, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
