The largest Hispanic-owned food company in America, Goya Foods, has announced that students nationwide who are starting their freshman year of college with an undergraduate degree in culinary arts and/or food science are eligible to apply for the company’s annual $20,000 Culinary Arts and Food Science Scholarships.

Goya Culinary Arts and Food Science Scholarships

In addition to the sons and daughters of Goya employees, Goya has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to students across the country since the establishment of its Scholarship Fund. Students starting at an accredited two-year or four-year university are eligible to apply for the prestigious Goya’s Culinary Arts Scholarship. Beginning in the fall of 2025, $5,000 scholarships of $20,000 will be given out each academic year. Scholarships can be renewed for a maximum of three more years as long as the student is still qualified to receive money.

Scholarship Requirements

The Goya Culinary Arts Scholarship is given to applicants who meet specific criteria set by the Goya Scholarship Fund, focusing on financial need, leadership, community service, academic success, and an essay on Goya’s impact on family traditions.
