The mid-festival celebration known as ArtPrize Halftime, presented by Rockford, unites musicians, music fans, and the larger Grand Rapids community for one amazing night. A chance to come together and refresh in the midst of ArtPrize season is this free outdoor concert at Sixth Street Park.

Theresa Anderson
“ArtPrize Halftime is all about celebrating the creative spirit that brings our community together,” said Theresa Anderson, ArtPrize Operations Director. “This event is a moment to pause in the middle of the ArtPrize experience and come together—neighbors, visitors, and artists alike—for a shared celebration of art, music, and connection in the heart of our city.”
An Exciting Country Music Night in Grand Rapids featuring Tiera Kennedy

When?
The ArtPrize 2025 feeling of togetherness will be live on Friday, September 26.
Who?
Tiera Kennedy will be the main performer.
Tiera Kennedy is a force, not just a rising star. Tiera is a visionary, artist, and movement-builder whose music exudes joy, purpose, and sincerity.
The Alabama native has become one of the most captivating talents in contemporary country music because of her unique blend of R&B and country, as well as her wonderful voice and intensely personal songwriting.
Her big moments so far include being featured on Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning song Cowboy Carter, appearing in a Dolly Parton music video, and getting guidance from Shania Twain, who inspired her to stay true to herself.
With her first album ROOTED, Tiera brought a unique sound that reflects her Southern background and is driven by a goal of inclusivity and freedom through music.
Kicking off the evening are two exciting acts from Michigan:
Jake Kershaw is a talented guitar player who is influenced by blues music. He has performed with famous musicians like Jonny Lang, Walter Trout, and Marcus King. He has also opened shows for Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Samantha Fish. His unique sound and strong connection to his hometown make him a great performer.
The Bootstrap Boys are loved for their tough, energetic country stories and their Midwestern friendliness. They sing about journeys taken and broken hearts, and because of this, they have gained a dedicated fan base throughout the area.
