The Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds in the Wild Card round, winning the series 8–4 in Game 2. Mookie Betts had four hits and three RBIs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched 6⅔ innings, allowing only unearned runs and striking out nine, while rookie Roki Sasaki closed out the ninth to secure the win.
Next Up: NLDS Dodgers/Phillies
The Dodgers are set to face the Philadelphia Phillies in a best-of-five NLDS series, kicking off with Game 1 on Saturday, October 4 in Philadelphia.
Shohei Ohtani will pitch for the first time in the postseason during Game 1.
Clayton Kershaw is currently being assessed for a place on the NLDS roster, possibly as a reliever or a spot starter since he was not included in the Wild Card roster.
