Los Angeles Chinatown came alive on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm as the 127th Golden Dragon Parade celebrates the Year of the Horse. Thousands lined the streets for one of the city’s longest running cultural traditions. Bold colors, rhythmic drums, and nonstop energy were on display from start to finish.

A 127 Year Tradition
The Golden Dragon Parade is one of the oldest Lunar New Year celebrations in Southern California. For over a hundred years, it has celebrated Chinese culture and included the wider Los Angeles community.
Each year, local families, visitors, and officials come together for a parade that strengthens cultural ties and keeps tradition alive in the city.
Year of the Horse
The Horse represents strength and determination. This year’s celebration showcased these qualities with energetic performances and lively parade entries.
