Gospel singer Kim Person reaches the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart

Kim Person, the renowned Gospel singer, made it to the Top 10 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart earlier this month. Her latest project, “Speak Life And Live” which was released on Friday, October 6th, 2023, and secured Person the #10 position. You can also listen to her newest radio single, “Fall On Me,” on the “Speak Life And Live” EP. The song, produced by Phillip Bryant, who has worked with Tamela Mann, Maranda Curtis, and JJ Hairston, is a testament to how Kim sought the help of the Spirit of God to overcome some of the most challenging moments in her life.

A Significant Milestone Achieved
Kim achieved a significant milestone this year with her 2021 radio single “Wonderful” making its way to the Top 30 on the Mediabase Gospel Airplay chart. Not only that, but she also received three nominations at the Stellar Awards last year. These nominations were for Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year, Traditional Female Artist of the Year, and Traditional Album of the Year. To top it all off, Kim had the opportunity to perform “Wonderful” during the Pre-Show at the 37th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Atlanta, GA, held on July 15-16, 2022.
Kim Person, originally from Lumberton, NC and now residing in Raleigh, NC, released her EP “Journey 2.0” as a follow-up to her successful 2019 album “The Journey“. The latter peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and #25 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. “Journey 2.0” spent an impressive six (6) weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. Kim’s talent was recognized with her first Stellar Award nominations for New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Artist of the Year in 2020. She also received the Shirley Caesar Music Outreach Award at the 2019 Lamplighter Awards, sponsored by The Light 103.9 FM (Urban One) in Raleigh, NC.
