The Inaugural McDonald’s Gospelfest Was Held in 1983

The McDonald’s Corporation and the McDonald’s New York Metro Owner/Operator Association proudly joined forces to establish the inaugural McDonald’s Gospelfest in 1983. Over the past 41 years, this esteemed Gospel festival has continued to bring joy, inspiration, encouragement, and hope to millions of Americans. Its enduring legacy has provided a platform for numerous talented individuals, including the renowned Bishop Hezekiah Walker, who have gone on to achieve great success in the entertainment industry.

McDonald’s invites you to join the Celebration on January 20, 2024

This year, McDonald’s invites you to join them as they celebrate the 41st Annual McDonald’s Gospelfest, which is making its way back to the New York Metro Area and stopping in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Newark, New Jersey. The historic Alhambra Ballroom, located at 2116 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., New York, NY 10027, will host auditions on January 20, 2024, for choirs, praise dancers, soloists, poets, and rappers. Ten thousand dollars is this year’s top award for the best choir.

In 2024, Farrow and McDonald’s will have collaborated for 26 years to create this amazing event. He was nominated fourteen times in 2003 and won three Emmys for producing and directing McDonald’s Gospelfest in 2000, 2001, and 2021.
