Hernández, at the age of 31, had an impressive season with the Seattle Mariners in 2023, making appearances in 160 games.
He showcased his talent by achieving a batting average of .258, hitting 26 home runs, and getting 93 RBIs. He proved to be a valuable asset to the team, securing top ranks in various categories such as batting average (3rd), homers (3rd), RBI (3rd), slugging percentage (4th, .435), extra-base hits (2nd, 57), total bases (2nd, 272), and hits (2nd, 161).
Additionally, his outstanding performance in the outfield was highlighted by recording 12 assists, which positioned him tied for the American League lead in outfield assists alongside Alex Verdugo and tied for second overall in the Majors with Verdugo, Ian Happ, and Fernando Tatis Jr.
Furthermore, as a right-handed hitter, he demonstrated his capability by achieving a slash line of .287/.307/.510 against left-handed pitchers, securing seven homers and 27 RBIs.

Hernández had a great season in the Major Leagues in 2021 with the Toronto Blue Jays, with a slash line of.296/.346/.524 and career highs in several categories.
He certainly left his mark with 163 hits, 92 runs, 32 home runs, 112 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. With a.297 batting average, 11 home runs, and 48 RBIs before the break, he demonstrated his talent in the Colorado All-Star Game, which he deservedly made.
In addition, he won the Louisville Silver Slugger award for the second time in a row (2020), and he finished the season with a 19th-place finish in the American League MVP voting.

Hernández, a Dominican Republic native, has played eight Major League seasons with the Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, and Seattle Mariners, averaging 159 homers and 473 RBI in 811 games.
He was originally signed by the Houston Astros on February 17, 2011 as an amateur international free agent.
