“The 2024 Espys” Will Be Hosted by Serena Williams

Sports celebrities come together for the yearly spectacular known as the ESPY Awards, aka the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards, to highlight their skills and celebrate their accomplishments. Imagine an elaborate event, emceed by a sports star, where players from various sports, such as football, basketball, and soccer, come to get accolades for their incredible feats. It’s not only about who made the most baskets or goals; it’s also about the touching tales and events that deepen our shared passion of sports.

Serena Williams, a cultural icon and tennis legend, is hosting the upcoming awards ceremony. Williams is a multi-Grand Slam winner and well-known figure in the world of sports. She will grace the stage with her unmatched charm as she joins prominent figures from the entertainment and sports world to commemorate the year in sports by identifying significant sporting accomplishments, recalling memorable events, and celebrating the top acts and performances.

“I couldn’t be more excited to host ‘The ESPYS,’” said Williams. “This is a dream come true for me, and something I’ve wanted to do for as long
as I can remember. It has been a sensational year for sports and an unprecedented one for female athletes … I can’t wait to celebrate everyone onstage in July.”

Williams’ ESPYS hosting honor will happen right after the first episode of her eight-part ESPN+ original series “In the Arena: Serena Williams,” which premieres on July 10. The series offers the most comprehensive, personal, and captivating history of Williams’ legendary career through first-hand accounts from Williams and significant figures in her life.

“Given Serena’s spectacular on-court achievements and her overall
cultural impact, she’ll bring elite star power and dynamic energy as
host of the show. We are thrilled to work with her to shape a powerful

Williams is a Prosperous Businesswoman

In addition to her athletic ability, Williams is a prosperous businesswoman. Serena Ventures, Williams’ venture capital firm, was founded in 2017. The firm has invested in over 20 early-stage firms and specializes in supporting women and founders of color. She launched Nine Two Six Productions, a multimedia production company, in April 2023. Through universally relatable content, the project seeks to amplify the voices of women and people of color. Williams and Ulta Beauty collaborated to develop WYN Beauty last month. Williams’ changing daily regimen in the locker room served as inspiration for WYN Beauty, which created makeup that is wearable. The goal of WYN is to encourage people to stand up for others as well as for themselves.

Williams hosting the 2024 Espys will showcase her versatility and influence beyond the tennis court. Her role as host will bring a fresh perspective and energy to the prestigious sports awards show.
