Lainey Wilson, a winner of Grammy, ACM, and CMA Awards, as well as the current ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year, is set to take the stage at AT&T Stadium. She will perform during The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants, which will be broadcast on Fox. This annual Thanksgiving match-up has gained immense popularity, making it the most-watched regular season game, with 42 million viewers tuning in last year.

In keeping with the festive mood, Wilson’s performance will feature songs from her most recent album, “Whirlwind,” as well as a very special surprise guest. This Thanksgiving, fans can anticipate a lively scene with lots of bells, boots, and bell-bottoms.
Come Together to Serve Others
“It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of legendary performers like my friend Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers, and Reba, of course, to kick off The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettle Campaign,” Wilson shared. “Join me at the Red Kettle this Christmas season because we truly can do more good when we come together to serve those in need in our communities.”
Red Kettle Campaign
The Red Kettle Campaign, one of the biggest and most established yearly fundraising events of its sort, officially begins with the Thanksgiving Day game. The Cowboys have made the halftime performance a 28-year tradition. It raises awareness to the needs of millions of people nationwide throughout the year and during the holidays, encouraging donations to The Salvation Army. More than 27 million Americans received services because to funds collected in 2023. Since the start of the Red Kettle Kickoff, The Salvation Army has raised more than $3 billion with the assistance of the Dallas Cowboys.
Lainey Wilson, a rising star, serves as a role model for the next generation, according to Charlotte Jones, former chairperson for The Salvation Army and co-owner of Dallas Cowboys.
Counting on Donations
This season, with five fewer days for giving, The Salvation Army is counting on donations at its well-known Red Kettles or online to support families facing tough times. As the largest direct provider of social services in the country, The Salvation Army is committed to ensuring that millions of individuals receive Christmas gifts, food, shelter, and help with rent and utilities during this holiday season and beyond, regardless of the expenses involved.
Devoted partners of The Salvation Army
Commissioner Kenneth G. Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army in the United States, stated, “The Dallas Cowboys and the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation have been devoted partners of The Salvation Army for nearly 30 years in our shared mission to take care of the most vulnerable in our communities.” “And a performance by such a celebrated artist as Lainey Wilson is the most wonderful way to kick off this important season of giving.”
