Pharrell Williams’ non-profit organization, Black Ambition, announced in late February that it is currently taking entries for the 2025 Black Ambition Prize Competition.
With a strong commitment to reducing the wealth gap and strengthening the supply of underrepresented founders, the organization continues to give minority business owners the funding, guidance, and tools they need to grow their enterprises and revolutionize sectors.
Black Ambition is relentless in its dedication to dismantling obstacles and enabling the success of minority innovators, providing over $1 million in funding for up to 25 applications.

Chosen founders will set out on a 12-week journey of transformation
Early-stage business owners who are developing new technologies, media and entertainment, healthcare, consumer goods and services, and artificial intelligence (AI) are eligible to enter the competition.
Through the Black Ambitionist Mentorship Program, which is powered by Cinematica Labs, chosen founders will set out on a 12-week journey of transformation, receiving top-level mentorship, assistance with business development, and access to a powerful network of investors and industry experts.
- Participants will polish their pitches, hone their strategies, and set up their companies for long-term success during the program.
The experience will come to a conclusion in November at Black Ambition’s 5th Annual Demo Day, where creators will have the chance to get up to $1 million or more in funding, in turn broadening the network of accomplished, minority founders making a difference.

The Black Ambition Prize Competition
At the start of the Black Ambition Prize Competition, 150–200 outstanding semifinalists are chosen for a three-month mentorship program that gives them access to powerful business executives, strategic advice, and priceless insights.
After that, the top 40 entrepreneurs will move on to a public voting phase and pitch training to make sure they are ready for the competition’s last round.
In addition to receiving funds, the top 20 finalists will get pitch deck design assistance and pitch coaching from professionals in the field.
Winning the Black Ambition Prize provided Dr. Monica Williams with validation, opportunities, and growth for her company, RedDrop. The investment facilitated scaling, refining strategies, and achieving new successes, while the support included mentorship, workshops, and a community that encourages innovation and accountability.
Black Ambition redefines winning
What it means to win is redefined in Black Ambition. Black Ambition’s prize competition offers a whole range of resources, including top-notch networking events, immersion mentorship, and customized strategic help, all of which are valued at over $1 million, in contrast to typical prizes, which only concentrate on monetary awards.
This gives participants great access to the industry, valuable learning opportunities, and partnerships that help entrepreneurs grow.
With its founder network together raising over $280 million and creating over $265 million in sales, Black Ambition has given out almost $13 million to 131 visionary entrepreneurs since its founding in 2020.
Black Ambition gave out almost $2.7 million to 30 innovative founders during the 2024 Demo Day.
This tradition will be carried on by the 5th Annual Demo Day, which will highlight the upcoming generation of forward-thinking executives and spark significant transformation in the corporate environment.
