In a dramatic extra-innings finish, the Dodgers walked off the Phillies in the 11th inning after a costly misplay by Orion Kerkering, winning 2-1 to clinch the NLDS 3–1.
Tyler Glasnow and the bullpen held firm, and and Roki Sasaki’s three perfect innings in relief really helped to win the game.
Next up: a showdown with the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, starting Monday night. Blake Snell will pitch in Game 1, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will take the mound in Game 2.
The road ahead won’t be easy — Milwaukee swept L.A. during the regular season — but the Dodgers return to the NLCS for the 8th time in 13 years.ß
🔜 What’s Next: NLCS vs. Brewers
- The Brewers actually swept the Dodgers 6–0 in the regular season across their meetings, so L.A. will need to flip the script.
- The Dodgers will face the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, beginning Monday, October 13, in Milwaukee.
- Blake Snell is expected to start Game 1, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto slated for Game 2.
- The Dodgers plan to use a four-man rotation and minimize bullpen games if possible.
- Milwaukee enters on solid form, having defeated the Cubs in five games to reach this stage.
