In a battle of wills, the Dodgers captured Game 1 of the NLCS in dramatic fashion, 2–1. Blake Snell was masterful on the mound, Freddie Freeman provided the go-ahead homer, and Mookie Betts added a forceful walk in the ninth to help capture the win.
A Bizarre Double Play
A bizarre double play in the 4th inning nearly cost LA a run, but thanks to sharp bullpen work and heads-up at bats, the team held on. The series is far from decided, but the Dodgers can now carry the momentum into the next game.

Game Recap: (NLCS Game 1 Dodgers @ Brewers)
The Dodgers edged out a 2–1 win in Game 1 of the NLCS over Milwaukee.
- Blake Snell was exceptional, pitching eight scoreless innings, striking out 10, and retiring his last 17 batters.
- Freddie Freeman hit a solo homer in the sixth to break the 0–0 tie.
- The insurance run in the ninth came from a bases-loaded walk by Mookie Betts.
- The Brewers had a wild defensive moment in the 4th inning: Max Muncy’s deep fly ball was caught, then bounced off a glove, hit the wall, and led to a double play because of base-running confusion.
- Blake Treinen escaped a bases-loaded situation in the ninth inning and struck out Brice Turang to secure the save.
This was the Dodgers’ first step in the NLCS, filled with drama and high stakes.
