Culture In Motion
The Apollo and artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Kwanza Jones announced Culture In Motion, a new national Roadshow launching January 2026.
The goal is to expand The Apollo’s legacy into neighborhoods across the United States with programming, creative activities, and empowerment experiences.
Why Culture in Motion

The Roadshow is the first activation of the Jones•Feliciano Initiative’s Producing Partner Program. The Apollo was selected after a detailed review process for its history as a cultural leader and its commitment to community impact.
The investment enhances the Initiative’s Impact Multiplier model by offering capital, guidance, support, and network access.
Key Feature
A standout feature is the SUPERCHARGED Boost Bus, a custom mobile cultural hub that brings Apollo performances, storytelling, and creative engagement directly to local communities.
Programming Pillars
• Arts Access. Live performances and Apollo-style showcases.
• Community Engagement. Partnerships with cultural institutions, schools, and local groups.
• Empowerment. Activities that inspire creativity and action.
• Legacy and Innovation. Honoring Apollo history while introducing new formats and voices.
Production Partnership
The Roadshow is co-produced by The Apollo and SUPERCHARGED by Kwanza Jones, the empowerment media and creative studio known for high-energy experiences that build confidence and community.

SUPERCHARGED® by Kwanza Jones
Kwanza Jones said, “The Apollo has always been more than a stage, it’s a space where people use their voice, own their power, and take action. My Apollo story started on the Amateur Night Stage, where I was encouraged to amplify my voice and my purpose. That’s the power of what The Apollo does, it’s a place for all people. I’m excited that this Roadshow will help even more people create their own Apollo story, one that starts right where they are.”
