The Actor Awards are gearing up for another star filled celebration of film and television. This year, award winning actress and producer Kristen Bell will take the stage as host, bringing her signature warmth and sharp timing to the ceremony.
One of the biggest moments of the night will belong to Harrison Ford. The legendary actor will receive the Life Achievement Award, the highest honor presented by SAG AFTRA. The tribute recognizes his decades of work on screen and his impact beyond Hollywood.

Silent House Productions returns to produce the annual ceremony for the third consecutive year, continuing its role behind the scenes of one of the industry’s most respected events.

Need to Know
Why the name changed
The event was previously known as the SAG Awards, named after the Screen Actors Guild. Organizers have shifted to the Actor Awards to spotlight the performers themselves and create a more direct, audience friendly identity.
Jon Brockett and JoBeth Williams, who are involved in producing the award show, discussed the name change with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2025.
Since its inception over 30 years ago, the show’s statuette has been named The Actor, and renaming the show to reflect this award provides clarity about its focus on honoring actors in film and television, marking a clear and straightforward direction for its new chapter.
The awards are still presented by SAG AFTRA, the union representing film and television performers.

What stays the same
The mission does not change. The awards remain focused on honoring outstanding performances in film and television, voted on by fellow actors.
What to expect

The 32nd Annual Actor Awards will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. It will stream live worldwide exclusively on Netflix.
