Tauren Wells Returns as Host for Fourth Straight Year

The Gospel Music Association has announced the nominees for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, honoring excellence in Christian and Gospel music.
Phil Wickham leads all male artists with nine nominations, while CeCe Winans tops the female nominees with seven. Both are nominated for Artist of the Year alongside Brandon Lake, Josiah Queen, and Lauren Daigle.
Eight-time Dove Award winner Tauren Wells returns to host the Dove Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
Wells also joins this year’s executive producing team, is nominated in two categories, and will perform during the show.

“The Dove Awards are more than just an awards show,” Wells said. “It’s about elevating the name of Jesus and celebrating those who have done that very well this year.”
Theme Centers on Unity
This year’s theme, “Together For One,” is inspired by Colossians 3:14 and reflects the unity found in Christ through worship and music.
GMA President Jackie Patillo said the nominees represent the diverse voices of Christian music and continue to create songs that bring people together around the world.

Rising Artists and Top Songwriters Recognized
Behind many of this year’s biggest Christian music releases, songwriter Jonathan Smith leads all nominees with 14 nominations. Jacob Sooter follows with 12, and Steven Furtick earns 11.
New Artist of the Year
The New Artist of the Year nominees include bodie, Emerson Day, Jamie MacDonald, Megan Woods, and SEU Worship.
Ceremony and Broadcast Details
The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Broadcast Date
The ceremony will air exclusively on TBN and the TBN+ app on Friday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.
Fans can also listen live on SiriusXM’s The Message (Channel 65).
Final-round of Voting
Final-round voting by GMA Professional Members will take place August 7 through August 14.
The nominees were selected from more than 2,800 submissions.
