Dove Awards 2024:CeCe Winans and Forrest Frank’s Remarkable Achievements at the Dove Awards

The 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards, held on October 1st, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, saw Jonathan Smith win a record seven awards, including Producer of the Year. Phil Wickham claimed four awards, while CeCe Winans received three, including Artist of the Year. “Holy Forever” was named Song of the Year, awarded to Chris Tomlin and others. Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, and Jason Ingram each earned three wins, and Forrest Frank received New Artist of the Year. The event was broadcast live on TBN.

CeCe Winans kicked off the event with an electrifying rendition of “That’s My King,” accompanied by a vibrant 24-member choir. Tauren Wells took the stage next, surprising the audience with special guests DAVIES and John Cooper from Skillet for his energetic performance of “Take It All Back.” Forrest Frank delivered an infectious mash-up of “No Longer Bound/GOOD DAY,” joined by talented members from The Choir Room. A standout moment of the evening, introduced by the beloved worship leader Darlene Zschech, was the multilingual rendition of “Holy Forever,” featuring the incredible talents of Brian and Jenn Johnson, Miel San Marcos, and Gabriel Guedes.

In a heartfelt tribute, host Tauren Wells addressed the losses in the Christian and Gospel music communities, sharing a touching audio message from Mandisa, who passed away earlier this year. He reminded everyone of the importance of expressing love and support to one another, highlighting that our words can create lasting legacies. The moment closed with Natalie Grant’s powerful rendition of “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).”

The 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards Will Have a New Home

The GMA has announced that the 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, as revealed in a video featuring artists Steven Curtis Chapman, Jason Crabb, Jekalyn Carr, Danny Gokey, and CeCe Winans transporting the Dove statuette.

Gospel Music icons Bill and Gloria Gaither received the Jackie Patillo Leadership Award, celebrated by an enthusiastic audience. Bill encouraged young songwriters to continue their craft, expressing that America has lost its song and highlighting the need for God to fill the emptiness.
