For the first time in franchise history, Top Chef Canada is bringing back three fan-favorite alumni hungry for the title they narrowly missed. Combined with nine exceptional newcomers and a guest judge roster featuring Michelin-starred chefs and international culinary icons, Season 13 is shaping up to be the most competitive—and star-studded—season yet.

The Chefs Ready to Rise
The New Blood: Nine rising stars from across Canada are stepping into the Top Chef kitchen for the first time, including Stephanie Baryluk from B.C., Samuel Chastenay-Joseph and Sara Raspa from Montreal’s vibrant food scene, and Sebouh Yacoubian representing Toronto’s legendary Taline.
From Edmonton to Newfoundland, the roster showcases the country’s most talented emerging culinary voices.
The Comeback Artists: Three returning alumni are hungry for redemption. Though they emerged as standout contenders in their original seasons, the title slipped away.
Now, armed with years of experience and a renewed fire, they’re ready to reclaim their shot at glory.
A Judge’s Panel Fit for Food Royalty
The Core Four return: host Eden Grinshpan, restaurateur Janet Zuccarini, Mark McEwan (chef/owner of The McEwan Group), and global food expert Mijune Pak. Returning for the finale is chef and fermenter David Zilber.
The Guest Judge All-Stars read like a who’s who of culinary excellence: Daniel Boulud (Michelin-starred DANIEL), May Chow (Asia’s Best Female Chef), Gregory Gourdet (three-time James Beard Award winner), François-Emmanuel Nicol (Two Michelin Stars at Tanière³), and Rob Rossi (Michelin Star Osteria Giulia). Even Sophie Grégoire Trudeau joins the bench as a guest judge.

Challenges That Break New Ground
This season introduces several franchise firsts: elimination challenges celebrating Lunar New Year, a cost-of-living showdown tied to the inaugural Toronto Tempo basketball season, and a culinary journey to Charlevoix and Quebec City—including exclusive filming at Restaurant Tanière³, one of only two two-Michelin-star restaurants in Canada.
There’s also a challenge inspired by the freshly announced Top Chef Canada: The Dessert Table spinoff, plus the triumphant return of Restaurant Wars as the season finale.
