Padma Lakshmi, the Former Host of Top Chef, has Been Replaced

Kristen Kish, the season 10 winner of Top Chef, will join hosts Gail Simmons and Tom Colicchio for season 21, which will debut in 2024.


“‘Top Chef’ is where I started my journey – first as a competing chef, then a guest judge and now as host I have the honor of helping to continue to build this brand,” Kish said. “I’m thrilled to sit alongside Gail and Tom as we get to know new incredible chefs and see what they cook up. It feels like coming home.” 


Lakshmi expressed her excitement and congratultions for Kish on Her twitter account by twitting “I’m so proud of you @KristenLKish and am over the moon that you’ll be taking over for me on @BravoTopChef!!!…”

Kristen Kish’s claim to fame

Kish was adopted into a family in Kentwood, Michigan after being born in South Korea. Kish competed on Bravo’sTop ChefSeason 10 from 2012 to 2013, when she ultimately took home the coveted title. She later co-hosted “36 Hours,” a Travel Channel program that was created in collaboration with The New York Times to adapt the popular newspaper column of the same name for television.

She teamed up with LINE Hotels in 2018 to open her first eatery, Arlo Grey, in Austin, Texas. In addition to serving as a co-star on “Fast Foodies,” Kristen also serves as the host and producer of “Restaurants at the End of the World” and a co-host on “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.”
