Outfielder Taylor Trammell was added to the active roster by the Los Angeles Dodgers, who placed outfielder Jason Heyward on the disabled list due to lower back pain.

Heyward, 34, was put on the disabled list with a retroactive date from March 30 for the first time this season. He was 3-for-14 with two RBI in his four games with the Dodgers this season. After hitting.269 with 15 home runs and 40 RBI in 2023, the five-time Gold Glover is in his second season with the Dodgers. After spending 14 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Atlanta Braves (2010–14), St. Louis (2015), Chicago-NL (2016–22), and Los Angeles (2023–24) teams, he finished 1,707 games with 174 home runs and 683 RBI. The Braves selected him with the 14th choice in the 2007 First Year Players Draft, after he had graduated from Henry County High School.
