Buehler confidently took the mound as the Dodgers’ game starter, ready to lead his team to victory.

First inning

Top

Ohtani just got walked while Betts is out and our home run hero, Freddie Freeman, steps up to the plate. As if in some sequel of past games, he sends a high fly ball into right field. And voilà, that’s a two-run home run for our superstar!

Score: 2-0 Dodgers

Bottom

Buehler lets one get on base. Soto pops a high fly and gets out. Judge is up, and Buehler strikes him out.

Third inning

Top

Edman skillfully gets on base, Ohtani puts in a great effort at first, and Betts nails a hit down the first base line, bringing in Edman and makes it to base!

With one out, Freeman approaches the plate and receives a walk from Schmidt. Teoscar is unable to make an impact and Muncy is subsequently walked.

Yankees pitcher Schmidt is out. Mark Leiter Jr. steps in to pitch. Will Smith’s up to bat with the bases loaded. Smith smacked one right back at the pitcher, who tosses it to first to wrap up the top of the third.

Score: 3-0 Dodgers

Bottom

Buehler pitches and it’s three outs and no score for the Yankees

Score: 3-0 Dodgers

Fourth inning

Top

Leiter Jr. walks Lux. Kike strikes a hit to right center, reaching base and allowing Lux to go to third. Edman steps up to bat, but the ball is mishandled. Lux makes an attempt to steal home but is ruled out.

Dodgers challenge the call. The call stands. Lux is out.

With one out and two runners on base, Ohtani steps up to the plate. The Yankees call Cortes from the bullpen to confront him. The count is full, and Ohtani swings, resulting in an out. Following this, Betts takes his turn and is also out, having hit a fly ball to left field.

Bottom

Judge comes up to bat and hits what looks like a possible home run but it’s caught by Teoscar Hernandez for the first out.

Stanton hits and gets on base giving the Yankee fans something to cheer about.

Chisholm Jr. crashes one into right field and Betts makes a diving catch to get him out.

Volpe crushes a thrilling base hit to left field, where T. Hernandez springs into action, unleashing a powerful throw to home that brilliantly stops the Yankees’ Stanton from scoring!

SCORE: 3-0 Dodgers

Fifth inning

Top

Cortes comes back out to pitch for the Yankees. Freeman hits a soft ground ball to third. Chisholm Jr. fumbles the ball and Freeman is safe at first. The inning is soon over with a double play by the Yankees.

Bottom

Buehler pitches a 1-2-3 inning, showcasing his skills and helping the Dodgers maintain their exciting lead!

SCORE: 4-0 Dodgers

Sixth inning

Top

Jake Cousins is brought in to pitch for the Yankees to try and turn the game around.

One out and Lux faces a 2-strike pitch. Kike Hernandez sends a powerful hit up the middle, allowing Lux, who stole second base, the perfect opportunity to race home. He arrives safely and scores for the Dodgers.

Score: 4-0 Dodgers

Wonder boy Tommy Edman steps up to the plate, facing a tense 1-2 count. With the crowd holding its breath, he battles to 3-2, but it’s heartbreak as he swings and is out! K. Hernandez dashes for second base, only to be called out. Roberts challenges the call. It does not go in the Dodgers favor.

Bottom

Graterol is pitching for the Dodgers. With 1 out, Soto is up to bat for the Yankees and is walked by Graterol.

Judge hits a ground ball to second base where Wonder Boy Edman leaps and catches it while stepping on the bag to get Soto out.

Stanton’s at it again, getting on base, and Graterol is pulled from the game.

Alex Vesia pitches to Chisholm Jr., who hits the ball, resulting in Stanton being out and concluding the sixth inning.

SCORE: 4-0 Dodgers

Seventh inning

Top

Ohtani who was walked earlier faces Hill in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 count Ohtani pops one up and is out.

Betts, having driven in a run in the third inning, steps up to bat and draws a walk from Hill. Freddie Freeman fouls off the first pitch, striking his injured ankle but staying in the game. He then hits a ground ball towards second base, resulting in Betts getting out while Freeman hustles down the line but is ultimately out at first.

Yankees make another pitching change as T. Hernandez comes up to bat. Holmes in for the Yankees with 2 outs on the board. T. Hernandez bats, gets on base and sends Freeman to third.

Holmes gets the Yankees out of a possible more runs inning from the Dodgers as he strikes out Max Muncy.

Bottom

Dodgers send Hudson to the mound in the bottom of the seventh inning. Volpe steps up; the crowd is ready, but his attempt to get something going for the Yankees is met with a foul that collides with the right field wall. With his next swing—a breathtaking moment where the bat flies over the Dodgers’ dugout—it bounces, only to be snatched out of the air by one of the team’s managers, marking an end to the excitement.

Rizzo hits one into center field and gets on base with 1 out on the board.

Austin Wells steps up as the pinch hitter for the Yankees, confidently facing the challenge. It’s a 2-1 count as he swings and misses another strike. Hudson delivers a fastball, and despite Wells believing he was thrown a ball, he’s struck out with precision.

2 outs in the bottom.

Roberts makes another pitching chance. Banda comes in to throw against Alex Verdugo. Banda pitches a four pitch walk to Verdugo. With two on base, Torres bats and is down on strikes.

SCORE: 4-0 Dodgers

Eighth inning

Top

Will Smith faces Yankees’ pitcher Holmes at the top of the eighth. On the 3-2 count, Smith is the first out for the Dodgers. Holmes is out and Kahnle is in to pitch for the Yankees. Kahnle does a good job for the home team as it is a one, two, three inning.

Bottom

The Yankees had a golden opportunity to capitalize on the Dodgers’ lack of scoring in the top of the eighth and put some much-needed points onto the board!

Ryan Brasier comes in for the Dodgers and first up is Juan Soto. He hits a high fly into right field which is caught by Betts.

Aaron Judge, having yet to leave his mark, is issued a walk with one out on the board. Stanton steps up to the plate and takes a vigorous swing at the first pitch, resulting in a strike. Brasier then delivers a decisive strikeout against Stanton.

Brasier takes down Chisholm Jr. to close out the bottom of the eighth.

SCORE: 4-0 Dodgers

Ninth inning

Top

The Yankees keep Kahnle on the mound, aiming to prevent the Dodgers from scoring while providing the Yankees an opportunity to secure a victory in the bottom of the ninth inning.

First out for Kahnle in the ninth is Edman. Luke Weaver is put in to face Ohtani, who is hit by a pitch. There was a non-hit by pitch call challenged by the Dodgers, and the call went in their favor. One out, Ohtani on first, and Betts is up at bat.

Betts grounds out to second base, resulting in Ohtani being eliminated from the game, while Betts himself is also out at first. This concludes the inning, intensifying the pressure on the Yankees as they enter the bottom of the ninth, compelling them to act decisively to prevent the Boys in Blue from securing victory in the third game of the series.

Score: 4-0

Bottom

Kopech takes the mound for the Dodgers in the ninth inning against the Yankees. With two outs remaining before securing the victory, Rizzo steps up to the plate and is issued a walk.

Kopech throws to Wells and strikes him out. One out to go. Wells is nearly hit by a pitch and Rizzo takes second base.

Verdugo comes up to bat in hopes of doing something for his team and to give the Yankee fans some hope. He smashes a 2 run home run into right field. Fans are hopeful.

Score: 4-2

Torres comes up to the plate with the opportunity to keep hope alive for the Yankees, but it does not turn out in their favor. He grounds to second, and Edman gets the ball and throws to first to end the game.

Final SCORE: 4-2 Dodgers

The Dodgers win the third game of the World Series against the Yankees with an ending score of 4-2.
