Five days ago, February 6, the Dodgers released fan-favorite pitcher Anthony Banda and added catcher Ben Rortvedt to the roster. Ben’s time with the Boys in Blue was short-lived.

Rortvedt was released to add right-handed pitcher Evan Phillips to the roster with a one-year contract for $6.5 million.
Evan Phillips
Phillips, 31, played seven games in 2025, striking out six batters in 5.2 innings and not allowing any runs before undergoing Tommy John surgery in late May.
He joined the Dodgers in 2021 after a waiver claim from Tampa Bay and excelled in the bullpen, with a record of 15-9 and a 2.22 ERA over 201 games.

Max Muncy

Max Muncy’s contract has been extended for one year at 10 million dollars, guaranteeing 7 million for 2027 and including a 10 million dollar option for 2028.
Muncy, 36, played 100 games last season. He hit .243 with 19 home runs and 67 RBIs. In the postseason, he hit three home runs, including one in Game 7 of the World Series that cut the deficit to one run.
He holds several Dodgers postseason records:
• 16 home runs
• 46 runs scored
• 37 RBIs, third in franchise history
• 9 doubles, sixth
• 328 plate appearances, second
• 25 extra base hits, tied for third
Muncy has been with the Dodgers since 2018. In 924 games, he has:
• 209 home runs
• 587 RBIs
• 713 hits
• 566 runs
• .828 OPS
• 27.2 bWAR
He is a two time All Star and ranks seventh in franchise history in home runs, just two behind Steve Garvey for sixth place.
Kiké Hernández

Kiké Hernández has returned to the Dodgers with a one year deal worth 4.5 million dollars.
Hernández, 34, played 92 games last season. He hit 10 home runs and had 35 RBIs. In the playoffs, he appeared in all 17 games and batted .250 with nine runs, one home run and seven RBIs.
On October 24, 2025, he set a Dodgers record for most postseason appearances with his 87th game. He now has 103 career postseason games, which ranks eighth all time in MLB history.
He is one of four Puerto Rican players with at least 100 postseason games, joining Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams and Yadier Molina.
Hernández has spent nine seasons with the Dodgers.
Dodgers Spring Training
Spring training begins on February 13, 2026, when pitchers and catchers report, with the first Cactus League game on February 21, 2026, against the Angels.
