Community Event Brings Cars, Music, and Mentorship Together

The Hollywood Police Activities League held its annual Car Show and Block Party today, May 17, 2026, in Hollywood, CA, to raise funds to support its PAL program, which connects youth with law enforcement and community mentors. The event ran from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

A Mission Focused on Youth Opportunity
Hollywood PAL fosters community by linking kids, police, and volunteers through mentorship programs that promote safety, trust, and skill development for young people.
A Wide Range of Cars on Display
The car show had many vehicles that attracted visitors all day. Guests were able to look around and view:
- Lowriders
- Hot rods
- Muscle cars, including American performance models
- Classic emergency response vehicles
- Police vehicles
- Motorcycles

Family Activities and Live Entertainment
The event had fun activities for everyone. Kids enjoyed arts and crafts, while adults met car owners and vendors. Local DJs played music all day, keeping the energy flowing.

Shotgun Tom Kelly
Radio personality Shotgun Tom Kelly, known for his work with Sirius 60’s Gold and K-Earth 101, met with attendees and made the event more appealing.
