As the tournament gets closer, fans can’t wait for the intense battles, amazing plays, and the chance for teams to leave their mark. This yearly event puts the spotlight on the unbelievable skill and commitment of women’s college basketball teams, keeping fans hooked and shining a national spotlight on the sport.
Alfac Joins Forces with TOGETHXR and Expands Collaboration with Coach Dawn Staley in Support of Women’s Sports
Excitement is mounting among women’s college basketball across the country as teams eagerly await Sunday’s NCAA team selections. Alfac, however, is already showing its support for the future champions. This year, the brand is strengthening its dedication by joining forces with TOGETHXR, a media and commerce company that empowers women’s voices in sports. Additionally, Aflac is expanding its collaboration with Dawn Staley, the head basketball coach for the University of South Carolina women’s team, and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

Women’s Regional Semifinal Watch Parties
Kicking off the women’s regional semifinal round, Aflac and TOGETHXR, created by four top female athletes: Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird will be hosting watch parties with The Sports Bra at Spirit of 77 in Portland, Oregon.
Fans can come together on March 29 and March 30 to celebrate the rising achievements of women’s basketball at an event organized by Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance from “The Syd + TP Show.”
The two-day gathering will feature a Q&A session, photo ops, and a special competition with basketball icons Nneka Ogwumike, Diana Taurasi, Elena Delle Donne, and Aliyah Boston, providing an exciting experience for college basketball enthusiasts.
Aflac Pivotes Resources to Spotlight Women’s College Basketball

Addressing Equity Issues in Women’s College Basketball
Aflac, in collaboration with Coach Staley and the WBCA, has taken a step forward in addressing equity issues in women’s college basketball by extending their partnership. These extensions are based on the principles outlined in “Dawn’s List,” a list created in 2023 that focuses on investment equity, fan experience, and community engagement.

Aflac stands behind its promises, uniquely championing women’s sports,” said Coach Staley. “Their continued partnership with the WBCA reflects a shared passion for spotlighting female athletes and the exceptional coaches associated with women’s basketball.”

Aflac and 15-25 WBCA Coaches are Collaborating to Inspire 200 Young Female Athletes in Grades 5-8 at a Basketball Skills Clinic
Aflac and 15-25 WBCA coaches are teaming up to inspire 200 young female athletes in grades 5-8 at a basketball skills clinic on April 3 during the WBCA convention in Cleveland. Aflac, the presenting sponsor of the WBCA’s Assistant Coach of the Year award, will cover the winners’ travel expenses and donate $5,000 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in each coach’s honor, totaling $30,000. Moreover, Aflac will support the convention’s closing session, focusing on coaches’ well-being in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic.
