On Saturday, June 21, at John Muir High School in Pasadena, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) held its second annual City Connect Showcase, sponsored by Fanatics and Nike, to highlight girls in sports.
This year’s showcase featured a softball match for the first time, with the John Muir High School varsity team facing the Dodgers Dreamteam Nike RBI Regionals.

The spirit of Dodger Stadium came to Pasadena with Dodgers announcer Todd Leitz, reporter Kirsten Watson, and DJ Severe energizing the event.
Softball players wore Dodgers City Connect jerseys, and catcher Will Smith and pitcher Blake Snell served as assistant coaches.

Two small businesses affected by the Eaton Fire received help
The Little Red Hen Coffee Shop and Niecy’s Delights, two small businesses in the area that suffered greatly during the Eaton Fire, each received a $10,000 check from Dodgers Dreamteam Community Ambassador sponsor Bank of America and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
Aiming to aid local recovery and fortify small companies affected by the recent wildfires, the cooperation is a component of LADF and Bank of America’s ongoing fire relief efforts.
Free resources
The Dodger Day offered free resources such as food from LA Regional Food Bank, Papa Cantella’s, and Dasani, along with services like eye exams from Vision to Learn and hygiene kits from Baby2Baby.
