Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 MLB Draft Selections

The Dodgers selected third baseman Chase Harlan with the 98th overall pick in the draft. Harlan, a Clemson commit, was a First-Team All-State selection in 2024. He excelled at the MLB Draft Combine, showcasing his power with a 453.4-foot home run distance.

Jakob Wright from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

With the 128th overall pick, the Dodgers selected left-handed pitcher Jakob Wright from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo after allocating their first two first selections to position players. With a 9-3 record, 2.97 ERA (29 ER/88.0 IP), and 1.28 WHIP in 15 starts, the Mustangs ace is coming off a spectacular redshirt sophomore season. The native of Paso Robles, California, led the Mustangs’ pitching staff with 101 strikeouts (10.3 K/9) and was selected to the 2024 All-Big West First Team.

Pitchers

The Dodgers acquired right-handed pitcher Brooks Auger from Mississippi State University, who had a 1-2 record in 2024 and was named to the 2024 SEC All-Tournament team after striking out 13 batters in 8.0 innings.

Seamus Barrett, a right-handed pitcher from Loyola Marymount University, was selected for the Dodgers after a 2-4 record and a 4.78 ERA, having previously played at Louisville.

Shortstops

The Dodgers drafted shortstop Elijah Hainline from Oregon State University in the 220th overall pick of the 2024 draft, who has a strong collegiate career, including All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

Los Angeles selected shortstop Kellon Lindsey from Hardee High School in the first round, adding three pitchers and four position players, including two high school and five collegiate players.

Outfielders

The Dodgers drafted Brendan Tunink, a high school standout with a strong track record, with the 250th overall pick. Tunink, who was named to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association’s All-State team, is currently committed to Notre Dame.

The Dodgers selected Kole Myers from Troy University, the 280th overall pick of the draft. Myers, a 6-foot-1 senior, led the Sun Belt Conference in stolen bases, walks, and triples, and was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team.
